little quantity
After all, a very first step in environmental protection (and more) truly simple and affordable for all is to reduce the amount of detergent when you use it. The manufacturers always exaggerate the amount recommended, which may even be halved (try to believe). This applies to the detergent (not too much foam is needed, just a few drops directly onto the sponge, and possibly add more if needed As you proceed with the wash), the same thing for the detergent for washing machine (usually half the recommended dose is sufficient, you can proceed by trial and error) I have no direct experience of dishwasher, but I guess we could easily apply the same principle, using less detergent measurable instead of the traditional imposed by single doses of advertising manufacturers' (always think before the advertisements: make our interests or theirs?).
consequences of this simple gesture: reduction of pollutants flowing into water (water is precious, we need to conserve as much as possible from harmful substances); reducing the amount of plastic to be disposed of (the containers last longer); savings. At this point, if you want, you can choose to reinvest the money saved in buying of ecological detergents or draft (loses value the claim that cost more), further reducing the environmental impact ( detergents are cleaner, you should not dispose of the plastic bottle, which is reused).
For all other household cleaning supplies, I have already said ( ...) that are totally unnecessary and replaced with baking soda, vinegar and lemon .
Simple. Effective. Affordable.
