Some thoughts:

Immaginiamo che nei mass-media si parli di argomenti e questioni  in base alla loro effettiva rilevanza e non al bisogno di distrazione e di controllo delle masse. Immaginiamo un sistema di informazione in cui ogni giorno si pubblichino i dati dell'inquinamento nelle città, il numero dei ricoverati in ospedale per sintomi riconducibili alla cattiva qualità dell'aria; un sistema in cui si parli ogni giorno degli effetti a lungo termine del fumo, o del numero di vittime sulle strade; un sistema in cui si riportino quotidianamente i dati dell'aumento della temperatura terrestre,  le immagini e le misurazioni dello scioglimento dei ghiacci sulla superficie terrestre o i dati sui disastri ambientali conseguenti al riscaldamento globale. Forse questi temi acquisterebbero la rilevanza che meritano , e si potrebbe cominciare a fare qualcosa per risolverli.
Intanto, è importante sapere che è proprio quando le giornate sono più belle che dobbiamo fare di tutto per limitare le fonti di inquinamento , lasciando a casa l'automobile privata e limitando l'uso del riscaldamento domestico.
