In questi ultimi 15 anni vi è stata in Italia una forte disgregazione sociale che ha evidenziato profondi cambiamenti nella nostra società. Sono venuti meno valori essenziali come l’uguaglianza, la solidarietà e la tolleranza e ci siamo spostati velocemente verso un mutamento radicale del nostro Paese dove prevale l’egoismo, l’individualismo e l’opportunismo. Oltretutto abbiamo assistito ad una chiara redistribuzione of income in favor of stronger social groups, in favor of industrial profits, but even more financial, with all the consequences. Thus, interest groups, become increasingly strong, now have a growing capacity to influence policy in our country. Here then is that the policy has disappeared from the management of the relationship between economic and political interests, leaving the free market to itself. This substantial indifference on the part of policy has resulted in a shift away from political debate of entire population groups, especially younger ones.
And in this we socialists have the serious responsibility.
Today more than ever we must create a new party transformed its leaders. A party that is able to be able to fulfill his political action at local level closer to people's needs. A party that knows how to be characterized by a lean organization, dynamic, efficient and more careful to pick up signals of change that occurs in the territory. For all this in addition to past experience (in the party who have expressed a constant distance and a lack of interest among the issues of our territory and those of capital), the companions of the Val di Cornia demanding a radical change of direction through the establishment of a Regional Coordination capable of expressing a strong political autonomy and able to contribute ideas, proposals and an indication of solutions to many problems in our area. Our efforts and our energies will be directed to create and find a new way of doing politics to propose a 'unity of purpose through the power of his ideas and with that spirit of service that makes us feel proud to be socialists.
