Honda Pilot 2005 Tire Pressure Monitor

Grandi opere e semplici cassonetti

Guardando la puntata di  Direct engagement of Sunday, March 6 scandal "parentopoli" Atac at farms and loves of Rome, I discovered, and I apologize for my ignorance in this regard that there is a system Ama for the treatment of waste in Rocca Cencia with two lines of treatment, a separate collection of waste from the multi-material (plastic, glass and metal) for recycling , and one of mixed waste to form RDF (refuse derived fuel) (from here more Ama site), and that this facility is currently not functioning. In the investigation we see trucks carrying the waste to other sites (dump?) with additional costs. Taking a quick Google search I found some information on the installation of Rocca Cenci. E 'was inaugurated by Veltroni and Marrazzo January 20, 2006 and was immediately the subject of much controversy: high costs, delay in completion of the work, not operational after the inauguration ( read here). News dating back to the previous survey in January is not fully operational system ( here and here ).

will soon be operating the system of traceability of waste Sistri, born in 2009 to allow the computerization of the entire chain of waste across Italy and urban waste in the Campania region. The activation of the system, scheduled for December, was postponed to next June, but were abolished while the penalties for violations, resulting in a dangerous legal vacuum between now and June ( read on the newspaper Done). Also on Done Daily can be found here all articles on the subject, presenting the picture of a very expensive and inefficient, but surely advanced (apparently, we've just us ...).

When I leave the house, I run every day in a series of road bins. Constitute a very diverse show. Within and alongside, above and below those for collection of material is generally undifferentiated everything from cardboard boxes, plastic containers, bottles, cans, wood, leaves, whole pieces of furniture or furniture, mattresses, various household appliances ... Those for collection are just as rich and vibrant for the variety of materials containing: several plastic bags containing the paper thrown in the bin for waste paper collection ; all kinds of objects and function in the bin for multi-material collection which, remember, is instead intended only to packaging. In particular, the first box for the undifferentiated I meet is always full of cardboard boxes and packing materials from the nearby bar-tobacco: you clearly read the names of the products on the boxes, cigarettes, beverages, miscellaneous products.

In Rome, the system is not able to ensure efficient collection of waste, nor the dignity of the city, but we spend millions for large systems, inefficient if not stopped, and above all aimed at close the waste sector with ' incineration. On the other hand, the local manager is not able to "trace" of the waste-tobacco bar downstairs, complete with headers and bar codes on packaging, while at the national level is to spend millions a sophisticated control system but, apparently, to circumvent ( here).

I put together this data and these simple personal observations and arriving at this conclusion. When in Italy we say that the waste has a wealth , means that the waste is a treasure for the political class and some large business groups , which can add the Mafia and organized crime in general . Hence the choice of large technologically advanced (?) But most expensive, presented as the magic solution to all problems. Once I would not say that behind this choice, there are also great ignorance e incompetenza .

Ma continuo a pensare che si possa arrivare a questo soltanto con un movement for change that bottom-up and individual behavior (elections are not enough).
on waste, we can subtract material to their major installations reducing, reusing, recycling . We can push the system to change through a different way to buy and consume.
We can leave them empty the bins and make their equipment useless. Let's start!

Un Mediterraneo di plastica

In reflecting on my recent post news the news that occasionally appear in the inside pages of newspapers or in sidebars on plastic tidal waves that flow on Italian beaches. If agencies talk about it They must be truly enormous amount, given that a large amount of plastic waste, which we are completely addicted, already normally on our beaches and floating in our seas without making headlines. These articles in the local news that titles like this (from Corriere della Sera ):

On the Tyrrhenian coast of Latium plastic bags and even the remains of a buffalo. Mayor: discover where they come from the satellite

The mystery of the polluted sea in Sabaudia

If you really must be spoken, you have to present the phenomenon come un mistero sul quale si indaga , addirittura con il satellite .
worry, there is always a single culprit, everything can continue as before, in case of emergency our powerful means will save us. But above all these cases are limited, our seas are clean!

Well, was presented yesterday to the Senate a report on "The impact of plastic bags on the marine environment" ( here and here ). The study was carried out by ARPA Tuscany and the structure of oceanographic Daphne Arpa Emilia Romagna, at the request of Legambiente. Analyzes the amount and type of anthropogenic waste in the Mediterranean, and the consequences on the marine environment, particularly on wildlife. presents a very worrying picture of plastic pollution in the Mediterranean . Italy is doubly exposed to the problem, due to its geographical position as the first European country to the consumption of disposable plastic bags.
The problem of pollution by plastic covers all the seas, including the Mediterranean . And it is an extremely serious problem that must be tackled. As Charles Moore points out in his talk at TED ( here), it is impossible to clean up the seas : we stop using plastic in the way we did in the past fifty years.

Speaking for the Voiceless

Three years ago, I saw a photo of a dead albatross chick filled with plastic pieces and knew I had to be the voice for those who couldn’t speak for themselves.
Sometimes I forget and think my purpose is plastic. But it’s not.
Yeah, I collect my plastic waste; blog about plastic-free alternatives; write to companies to get them to change their products and packaging; and give speeches and interviews on plastic, plastic, plastic.  I focus on plastic because so few other activists and organizations do. Because “green” companies still package their products in plastic, and organic foods come wrapped in the stuff.
But my purpose, the reason I speak out on plastic, is for my clients:

When I forget them, I get caught up in the madness of Google Rank, Search Engine Optimization, PR Pitches, Social Media, blog popularity, and the stress gets to me. I focus on checking off items on my “To-Do” list and lose sight of the meaning of the actions themselves.
A few nights ago, flying home from Maryland after my mom’s death, feeling sad and useless and just trying to make sense of it all, I listened to a podcast from The Moth storytelling series that woke me up to my purpose all over again. I post it here in the hopes that it can inspire you too. Especially if you have ever been reluctant to speak up.
Please listen to the story of Alan Rabinowitz, who was born with a stuttering problem so severe he was placed in Special Ed with the slow learners and shunned by adults and children. While he couldn’t talk to people, he could communicate with animals. Every afternoon after school he would sit in a little closet in his New York City apartment with his pets… hamster, gerbil, green turtle, chameleon, garter snake,
and I would talk to them. I would talk fluently to them. I would tell them my hopes and my dreams. I would tell them how people were stupid because they thought I was stupid. And the animals listened. They felt it. And I realized very early that they felt it because they were like me. The animals, they had feelings too. They were trying to transmit things also, but they had no human voice. So people ignored them. Or they misunderstood them. Or they hurt them. Or sometimes they killed them. I swore to the animals when I was young that if I could ever find my voice, I would be their voice.
Later, after years of training to learn to speak fluently and escaping into the jungle to be with the animals, Rabinowitz finds himself faced with a difficult challenge. In order to save the jaguars that he loves from extinction, he will have to keep his promise and give the speech of his life.

When writing or speaking or thinking get hard and I'm tempted to call it quits, I remind myself That "my" work is not about me at all. It's about a deep and persistent love that Requires me to use whatever skills I have to keep the promise I made the night That I saw a photograph.
That's the love I Received from my mother. She died two weeks ago, But did not love her.
